Reliable, efficient, and accountable record keeping for athletic departments is becoming more and more difficult. It's critical to increase accountability and make sure that athletes have submitted appropriate forms and that coaches have gone to their required training. However, most athletic departments are swamped with required paperwork, and using an inefficient system to keep track of who has turned in which forms becomes a logistical nightmare for both athletic directors and coaches.
AccuScholar has attacked these problems by implementing a centralized system which keeps coaches in the loop and allows athletic directors and district officials to easily see the forms each person has turned in or still needs to turn in. As submitted forms are physically received, athletic directors can quickly check them off online.
What People Are Saying
"I have been using AccuScholar for about 6 months now and find it to be a very easy and efficient way to track the mountains of paperwork required for each student and coach. Building teams is a one click process and updating the dates forms are turned in is also very simple. Every time I have discovered another form that needed to be generated from the database, the guys at AccuScholar were quick to respond. I would recommend it to any busy AD who is swamped with forms!"
Scott GreenwaldScheduling parent-teacher conferences is an annual hassle that wastes teachers' time. Every year, teachers spend countless hours printing out forms, distributing them in class, trying to arrange schedules so that all parents can get conferences, and playing phone-tag with parents when there are scheduling conflicts. Furthermore, some parents might never even see the conference forms because students don't bring them home!
AccuScholar Interactive solves these problems by allowing parents to sign up for conferences online. This removes all the hassle from the process. Parents can immediately see which slots are open and choose the one they want. Teachers can then log in and print out an automatically generated schedule for the entire conference day(s), showing the parents that signed up for each slot. Teachers don't have to do anything else!
We provide a very flexible system that can accommodate conferences that span multiple days, variable timeslot length, and timeslot reservation so that teachers can reserve timeslots for certain students (or for lunch!).
What People Are Saying
"I liked not having to go back & forth with paper forms, knowing right away what conference times were available, and being able to print my finished schedule."
StudentStudents lose textbooks every year. Schools hold the students accountable for these lost books, but it's often difficult to keep track of them all using decentralized paper records. As a result, schools lose a significant portion of their textbook inventory each year.
The Textbook Management Inventory module is a centralized textbook inventory system that electronically assigns individual textbooks to students. Administrators use it to print unique barcode labels and attach them to the back of each textbook. During pre-registration for the school year, the textbooks are checked out to students based on their class schedules. The labeling and checkout process is a great opportunity for the school's PTSA volunteers to get involved.
The checkout process is very intuitive. Using a compatible USB barcode reader (available through AccuScholar), an administrator or volunteer scans the student's ID card and the barcode on the back of each textbook. The book is now checked out! At the end of the school year, books are checked back in by scanning their barcodes again. Administrators can use this module to see a master list of the textbooks that haven't been turned in and the students who still have them.
This module also makes it easy to return lost textbooks to their owners. If any staff or faculty member finds a textbook in the hallway, they can log in to AccuScholar Interactive and enter the book's barcode. The name and course schedule of the student who checked out the textbook will then appear so that the textbook can easily be returned.
